Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between SLIG and NDMA

We are thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sierra Leone Institution of Geoscientists (SLIG) and the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA)! This milestone formalizes a partnership aimed at strengthening Sierra Leone’s disaster resilience and improving crisis management strategies.

 

Purpose of the MoU

Enhance cooperation in emergency management through geoscience expertise.
Foster effective communication and coordination during disaster response efforts.
Facilitate knowledge exchange on disaster risk reduction.

Hazard identification, risk assessment, and early warning systems.
Post-disaster recovery and reconstruction.
Capacity building and specialized training.
Research and development in geological hazards.
